- It is really not clear how filtering works, especially we don't see which option is used when he clicks on "Bookmark" as the screen is cut we dont understand what did he choose
- Hi ..can you guide how to set a column data "range filtering " on Notepad++..thank you in advance..
- Yea that's not really filtering, at least not in the excel sense.
One key difference is that we loose line numbers which can be useful.
Edit: Find all in current document - does exactly what I wanted!
- many thanks

- Yes. The screencast forgot to include the bottom of the screen. But the 'invisible' feature is called 'remove bookmarked lines'.
Please bear in mind that this feature does NOT work, if you want to clean XML data that contain sub-fields (e.g. <itemlist><subfield1> etc.).
It only removes the parent tag (here: <itemlist>), while the subfields will be orphaned => Useless XML file.
- Just what I want to be able to do but not possible to see what is going on because it is too quick, particularly when using the search/bookmark options, so I am none the wiser. Very frustrating!
