- READ THIS FIRST - When installing other guest operating systems using VirtualBox, you may need to adjust the memory (RAM), and CPU, which I showed you in this video. If you are creating a Windows or Mac guest OS, you may need to adjust some of the settings higher than you would with Linux. On older computers, you may need to enable virtualization in the Bios. - when I try to create a new machine I get an error saying that the machine folder cannot be created in the parent folder and that I need to check if the parent folder exists. do you know what I can do to fix this?
- Questions:
1) When you hit "SHUTDOWN", does that reallocate the virtual resoures (memory and Hard Disk Space) and CPU Cores to your host machine?

2) After shutting down, I imagine you can just Restart your virtual "session" in VirtualBox and run Ubuntu (as used in this example) rather than have to re-install Ubunto to the vm, correct?

- Great tutorial mate. Awesome for us newbies to this type of software. This was three years ago I'm wondering what version of linux you would recommend today for myself running iMac Big Sur? If it wasn't for Logic Pro I would be done with apple all together but this looks like a great option for me to continue with Logic. I was looking into an external hard drive option but this looks even better right?

No it won't delete your apps and files, the VM has no access to your host's hardware. It is running on a virtual drive that you created for it.

- Question: I have a new computer with Windows 10, and I connected the previous hard disk from my old computer as a secondary drive inside my new one, and still has all the previous data in it, including Windows 7 64bits............can I add this secondary drive to a Virtual Drive without losing any data in it, and not requiring to install Windows 7 again in that drive?
- I'm having trouble with sizing and going full screen. No matter how I try to resize the window, the actual aspect ratio/resolution itself always stays the same size. This even happens when I try to go full screen. I've also had this problem with other programs (such as Steam), but those usually end up resolving on their own. I feel like this is a stupid question, but can anyone help?
- My question is why V-Box needs to reset my network settings? I have mine configured to essentially have no "buffer" so that when a network call is made from my pc or an app it goes through without being delayed for any reason, I'm just wondering because it's a pain in the ass to continuously redo.
