- Steve Thanks so much! I was not sure if Dropbox would bombard my hard drive on its own...but I see you have to download the desktop app for that. Question: If you download a file from dropbox cloud, does the cloud delete it there? or...is there a disappearing act in the cloud where you can't recover a file?
- Outstanding content. Thank you
- Thx for the Gmail tip to make my life easier
This was a very useful video
:) - Hi Steve, I have been unsuccessfully looking for a solve for drop box storage problem and wondering if you have an answer to this issue. Sorry for the lengthy write up. One of my acquaintance has a 2TB drop box account where he keeps all his property management business files. I do some work for him and need to access those files regularly. He has shared them with me with EDIT permission AND at times I need to upload NEW files to his drop box folders. The only way I know how to access those files is to log into my BASIC drop box plan (with 2GB storage), synch those files back to my drop box account and then access them on Drop box web/Cloud via my account. The problem I have is that this is filling up my 2GB storage instantly. I cannot figure out how I can access his business files on his drop box account without having to synch them to my BASIC plan account. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. - Zerknij sobie też i tu rusztowanie plettac , zawsze to jest też przydatne.
- Greetings Steve, excellent very helpful video even for a non techy person as me! I only wished if there were features listed with time frames... I will definetely use "file request" option as well as "copy link " options. it will save a lot of time! - Can someone please clarify this for me. Can i share a file directly from my harddrive via Dropbox, without it going into the cloud? ie eliminating upload time from my end? - nice explanations - Thank you very much for the information. I have a question. How can upload a family video from CD (camcorder) from my laptop Windows 10. - Thank you Steve for talking to us and not At us. I skipped past so many videos before I stopped here. Very informative and engaging. I don’t suppose you have one that tells us how to distinguish our private Dropbox - free version to our works Dropbox? I am not quite sure what they can and can’t see in my photos/videos on my IPad. Or even if I am not just putting some files into my own? I think they are in the right place then it tells me my Dropbox is full, so that’s obviously my free version and not my works link. Very new to this. - Steve is one of those cowboys who stores his bullets in Dropbox so he can travel light, and then when he needs to duel another cowboy his old friend Dropbox comes in handy xD - Very useful video for us! We're moving to Google Workspace and although Google Drive is good, Dropbox has been rock solid over the years so we're staying with it. Cheers 👍🏻 - Wow! Thanks! - Love it saw you send a video email with it gonna put this to use thanks for the education - Thank you. Looking to use Dropbox to share photos with others so will give it a try. - Thank you. I know nothing about Drop box. I want to know more. - Thanks so much for this. There were a few things I wanted to learn, being a Dropbox flounderer, and now have to be more responsible and organized. What a concept. So the things I was looking for was how to designate those getting my document will be able to edit or not. Yep. And I love the File Request element. That is brilliant. And think I will move my dropbox to a more spacious drive to fee up operating space. Now what to see your other videos. Am sharing this with my collaborators...a 240 page coffee table book. Guess what size the readers' pdf is? 25 megs. - Steve, why do presenters talk so fast and move their cursors so fast during all of these demos? Your presentation is great but even as I hit pause and replay, it all just goes so fast for me. Is there a site that slows down the teaching process? Thank you for your help. - Steve,
I watched your video and learned several new things that are good. But I have a PC and do not see all the controls: gear/ preferences that you have on the mac. It was hard trying to follow that. I do see some controls with a right click on the folders, files, on my computer. I find the webbrowser site difficult to manage any preferences.
I've also seen your video on ZOOM and that helped me set all that up. thanks for doing these.
thanks. - Do you know of a good app to remove duplicates from Dropbox files? - Thanks Steve you are my go to guy when I need to know something about Google and Dropbox
